Re: recommendations for a compressor

Thanks John, that's a great link. Looks like the 100 litre which I presume is similar to yours is out of stock, but they have one that's bang on budget, belt drive and a decent size tank at 90 litres, still 14 cfm. I think that's a winner so far.

recommendations for a compressor

Hi all, I have an old (2004) ABAC 50 litre, 2hp compressor. I bought it second hand around 2014 (faulty) so I got a service kit and rebuilt the motor. It's served me well since for all sorts of DIY/Hobby stuff, power tools, and a bit of painting. But now it is not reaching full pressure (as it was w...

Help required finding a decent fuel union supplier

I've recently picked up a 1971 Beetle with various 'bodges' one is in the fuel lines to the twin carb conversion. So I want to replace the whole lot from the fuel pump to the carbs. The difficulty is the 2 carb inlets are 8mm OD and the fuel pump is a single 6mm OD outlet. To keep the joins to a min...

Re: Eddypecks 1986 Golf GTI

The Mr Ben thing was a talk disc holder I bought from a sticker stand at Bristol Volksfest, so that's the picture on the back. When it was no longer required to have a tax disc I was a little disappointed. So I photocopied the back, laminated if and cut it out as a tax disc size circle just so I cou...

Re: Eddypecks 1986 Golf GTI

Well I pretty much forgot all about this post. It's been a long journey since I first started and the car now looks like this: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i61/eddypeck/GolfGti/2016-09-09%2017.43.17%20HDR_zpsftv2gbjr.jpg http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i61/eddypeck/GolfGti/ns-front-qtr-low_zp...

Re: Edd China orange gloves

Well I got some and have been using them for a while now and I have to say I am impressed. 2 pairs lasted a whole day where I'd usually get through about 20 of the latex ones. I even did a fuel pump change and got covered in petrol, they did eventually disintegrate but it took a lot longer than usua...

Re: An 80's icon

The 80's hot hatches are really creeping up in price, I was looking for a golf mk2 Gti and realised how much prices had risen. nice looking 205 you have there. Not half, I've owned my 1986 Golf GTI nearly 3 years now, I spent 2 years trying to find one that was as close as possible to the one I had...

Re: Eddypecks 1993 BMW e30 Touring 318i

Quick up date on this... As mentioned above, this was bought by a film maker that had been commissioned by BMW to produce a film at the Isle of Man Classic TT with one of their retro BMW motorbikes. They offered him a new 5 series but he wanted a support car that would fit with the period for the fi...

Cheap Roll Cab Tool Boxes

I've been looking for a decent free standing roll cab tool box for a while now. I know the Halfords Professional ones seem to be pretty good and they regularly have combination deals with them as they do right now with 5 drawer toll cab, 7 drawer top box and a portable box all for £250. ...but in co...
