Re: Edd China orange gloves
I've been using those for about 4 years now. I tend to buy 4 boxes and they last ages. Very much reusable. I pull them off and leave them inside out until I next need to use them, then turn them inside in and blow them up to get all the fingers out. Very good for winter too as they are long enough t...

Re: Rollover jigs....
Absolutely John.
There's acres of space to work on either side in a single garage with the car on its side. Fortunately I now have a double garage after moving house a year ago, but the principle of creating space still applies. Modern double garages are not as big as they should be

Re: Rollover jigs....
I have a jig like the one in the first link with the Capri on it. It came to me 3rd hand after 2 other club members had used it and once I'm done I'll no doubt pass it on for a small fee. They really are fantastic bits of kit, especially if space is tight. http://i947.photobucket.com/albums/ad313/Ro...

Re: Led interior lights "fadeout" (or not)
I've built that circuit myself a few times now for people who want their household LED lamps to work from faders in the same way as tungsten filament or halogen lighting does. Why didn't they just buy dimmable LED lamps? Anyone retrofitting LED lamps at home should read this http://www.electricalsa...

Re: Car SOS.
I watch both WD and Car SOS and both are enjoyable. I think WD has been on long enough that we know the format and what we're getting. We'll see if Car SOS lasts as long. Both cover pretty niche subjects so need the presentations skills of Mike Brewer and Tim Shaw prancing about and doing deals to a...

Re: Scottish Borders Historic Motoring Extravaganza 2015
I've been going to this show for a few years now and it is excellent. Lots to see, loads of vehicles, big autojumble and very well organised. Well worth a visit if you haven't been before, or a revisit if you have

Re: UK motorists could be stripped of licences under new EU
To be fair, I don't think the tories want us out of the EU, they are gambling that the public don't all read the daily mail and will be sensible. They almost lost Scotland with the same gamble so hopefully they do a better job this time round. If we leave the EU who will be left to blame for all th...

Re: UK motorists could be stripped of licences under new EU
It's about time. There must be as many bad foreign drivers in England as bad English drivers in Europe. Anything that can be done to make people more responsible can only be a good thing! They can even find their way into other parts of the UK too ;) I agree it's a good idea as long as it's recipro...
Re: Satnavs.
I love my sat nav. I have a Tom Tom (there are other makes of sat nav available) that's a few years old now but I keep it regularly updated. I find it an invaluable aid to navigation, but that's all it is.....an aid . Anyone who follows it blindly deserves all they get IMO. I tend to keep the volume...

Re: Maximum motorway speeding fine set to rocket to £10,000
suddenly the noise of a loud engine rises, and the next minute what looked like a Le Mans racing car overtakes, it's in lane 4 and is literally inches from the car in front, it's fully decaled with racing insignia and it's reg was something mad like 00-3122-00-33 Gumball Rally is in town then! They...
