Re: breakdown truck

Lovely thing, but way too big for a van without a shower. Bound to attract buyers though, I'm thinking young ones with long, dense beards. Long dense beards, you obviously know about the ban-the-bomb marchers, and the men were just as hirsute too. For you John, lover of things wacky, a camper van w...

Don't think you need pedals on that.
Id definitely need stabilizers
That's a feeling that I know well. I'm so old that when I sit in a rocking chair I can't get it going.
But my missus came up with this: A clockwork rocking chair.

The year before the pandemic broke, my missus and I were at The Goodwood Revival. Pushing the boat out, instead of camping we stayed at The Goodwood Hotel. In the car park was a beautifully restored, MG WA. I still have wet dreams about it.

Think I need a lay down, preferably in a darkened room. I'm an old man now, you should be more respectful. Posting indecent images indeed.

Re: breakdown truck

There's a fellow, who works on the industrial estate close to where I work, who's daily drive is a 1972 plastic pig, at least that's the moniker that it was known as back in the day. Powered by one of Henry's three litre engines, mated to a Borg Warner automatic gearbox, although the latter was only...

Re: breakdown truck

Like those lovely 1950s Morris Oxfords, the bB's front seat has two separate backrests but with three seat belts, so what the car's design team had been smoking the day they came up with that is anyone's guess. Even less logically, given the design's clear anti single person approach, it is p...

Re: breakdown truck

mot1.jpg What is this? The motoring nerds will say, easy-peasy, it's the front seat of a 1953 Morris Oxford. They can't think beyond motoring. I'll tell you what it is, although the column change gear lever and the under-dash mounted handbrake are big clues. Their absence makes it so much easier to...
