Re: breakdown truck

That's fifty eight grand in British shekels. I know something else that sold for £58K.

Re: What would you buy & why?

Quite fancy a TR4A ... .... but not sure SHMBO would let me have a fourth car! (Subaru BRZ., Peugeot 206, & the Austin A35 project!) Had to look up SHMBO, I'm used to acronyms that use the initial letter, as in: SWMBO, there again text speak where the letter 'U' replaces 'you,' brings me out in hiv...

Re: breakdown truck

Have you ever seen those stunt performers that can drive a car on a crazy angle? A truck driver near me had a go at it. Don't give up the day job.

Re: breakdown truck

What is so odious about Mark Wotsisname is that he harvests all the trivia, creates a profile and then sells it to big advertisers. He's like a wart on the arse of society. As for the Jowett, I haven't got a photo of my mate's Jupiter, but by luck I found a photo of one in an identical colour. I sor...

Re: breakdown truck

Lovely thing, but way too big for a van without a shower. Bound to attract buyers though, I'm thinking young ones with long, dense beards. Long dense beards, you obviously know about the ban-the-bomb marchers, and the men were just as hirsute too. For you John, lover of things wacky, a camper van w...

Id definitely need stabilizers
That's a feeling that I know well. I'm so old that when I sit in a rocking chair I can't get it going.
But my missus came up with this: A clockwork rocking chair.

The year before the pandemic broke, my missus and I were at The Goodwood Revival. Pushing the boat out, instead of camping we stayed at The Goodwood Hotel. In the car park was a beautifully restored, MG WA. I still have wet dreams about it.
