Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?

Look what I saw today in my local supermarket car park. Can't say I have a love for the Austin Seven, but I do have some memories. When I was a small boy my Dad had a Hudson Hornet, he had bought off an American officer who let him have it quite cheap. Dad used to scare the crap out of Mum, especial...

Re: Meet The Welshmobile!

I clicked on this thread's title expecting to see one of these: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Vwt4FjYuGj4/VXntSuyk1XI/AAAAAAAALDE/4iVofrJUQx0/s1600/DSC_0836.JPG ;) A Volvo will do just now. I was expecting something altogether different. Where did I put Specsavers phone number? volvo.jpeg

Re: Autodoc online car parts.

Ive been making a nuisance of myself . I found one of the 'bosses' of Autodoc and sent him a message about the way I have been treated. Also sent a letter to the Director. They phoned me today to offer a refund of the difference between the part I ordered and the part I received. This was something...

Re: What would you buy & why?

That's enlightening John, I was posting from my memory of the suffix introduction. I can clearly remember how local authorities were responsible for car registration. In the early days, 1963 to 1965, the suffix was something of a mish-mash. By 1966 it was in a much better order, then in '67 the chan...

Re: What would you buy & why?

How do you fancy a bus? I wouldn't mind this Bedford, if I had somewhere to garage it. There's a double decker up for sale too, it claims to be a 1961, but with an 'A' suffix it has to be a 1963. here's the link: https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/news/tw ... es-2383579

Re: 90s car and performance car mags anyone?

Nick, if there are no takers, do yourself a favour, look up auto memorabilia/car magazine vendors. I have seen quite a few traders that deal in old publications at The Autojumble held at Beaulieu in The New Forest. I have no idea what they will give, but they must source their goods from somewhere. ...

Re: breakdown truck

Loving the GSA, I happen to know that car since its previous owner, a friend and one of the best engineers I ever had the pleasure of knowing, put it back on the road a few months before I took a photo of the car back in 2013 (below). Assuming that I may still post links to images that are already ...

Re: Autodoc online car parts.

Paul, if the company are a UK based outfit, they are obliged to supply you goods fit for purpose, they must also supply that which they advertise, they cannot pass the buck. You don't have to get lawyers involved, all you have to do is contact your local Trading Standards Office. Explain your grieva...
