Nice mk1 cavalier 4 door on ebay. Been stood and engine seized. Theses have child seat anchor points as I fitted one 22 years ago!

Mk2 grandadas seem good value compared to other classic fords. Nice clubs, nice to drive . If you want to go older rover p4 has suicide back doors so plenty of room there just watch them being opened whilst moving along. Triumph 2000 is another. Live nearby (Norbreck). Love those cars. Was behind the Datsun the other day, it looks like new. Not got a classic at mo due to two daughters and their boyfriends all taking the spaces up on the drive but will get something seventies one day, a series manta, mk1 celica or maybe a volvo 164. Hi I am sure i have read about a jag resto somewhere that smoked like that and it was something to do with the oil cooler pipe. It might have been something else as its a faint memory but it was definitely something not connected up and exiting via the exhaust. i'm sure its nothing terminal with it ...

you could jack one rear wheel up and see if it does it whilst in drive but stationery, that would help eliminate the wheels if it still did it. It sounds like a loose mounting- are the other engine mounts okay?
