Hi John
I thought that may have been the easiest and best option.

Drum to Disc Conversion on Hillman Husky 1960

Does anyone have any experience of converting the drum brakes on a 1960 Hillman Husky Series 2 [Minx style] to discs please?

Re: Aftermarket wheels for 1960 Hillman Husky Series 2

All things this summer went pear-shaped so the Husky has sat and waited.
Getting back into doing things on the vehicle.

Possible alternative to Ford are Peugeot 307 wheels it seems.

Re: Idle problem with Weber 28/36 DCD

Thanks for the comments. Appreciated. :) The carb has been rebuilt by Carburettor Exchange at Leighton Buzzard. Spec of jets etc., from information on Imp Club site. So it is as near as possible to a 100% spec for the engine set-up. Have the Haynes manual so have full information as the link given. ...

Idle problem with Weber 28/36 DCD

I have fitted a Weber 28/36 DCD to my Hillman Imp. Car starts OK and with choke out 'races'. Ease the choke slightly and it runs and dies. Have tried blipping the throttle with no choke and if I catch it right it runs for afew seconds and then dies. Fuel is getting through OK. Ignition is spot-on an...

Re: Aftermarket wheels for 1960 Hillman Husky Series 2

Measurements carried out today indicate an ET of 50mm on the existing wheel.
Have looked at Mondeo's wheel with 6J and ET of 40mm.
This seems to work but will look at various styles before moving forward on anything.

Re: Aftermarket wheels for 1960 Hillman Husky Series 2

The Imp uses BMC/BL 4"x4 stud spacing and not the Ford pattern of pretty much every other Rootes product, the wheels on the Hillman Husky in that piccie are Cosmics that appear to have had a bath in paint stripper. :D My Husky is the Minx style not later Imp with 15" wheels. Checking on whether 4J ...

Re: Aftermarket wheels for 1960 Hillman Husky Series 2

Thanks for the comments. Appreciated.
I believe the PCD is 4.25" same as Ford. 4 No bolts on the Husky.
The offset is the area I have concerns about.
