Anyone have experience of aftermarket wheels for Hillman Minx or Husky 1960 period?
Existing standard wheels are 15" x 4J.

Re: Steering Wheel Refurbishment
Mine is certainly not as bad as that one.
Am slowly rubbing it down, amongst other things on the go at the moment.

Steering Wheel Refurbishment
The steering wheel on my 1960 Hillman Husky is in need of a 'makeover'. Paintwork is chipped in places and there is general wear and tear.
No cracks etc., in the wheel itself.
What would be a recommendation for type of paint to use to refurb?
All comments appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Splines on Steering Column
Have some information that Ford Anglia splines are the same as Hillman.
Have contacted Mountney at Leighton Buzzard, which is fairly near to call in to.

Splines on Steering Column
I am looking to upgrade the steering wheel on my Hillman Husky [1960 Series 2].
Does anyone know the number of splines on the column please?
Also did Hillman retain this detail on later models in their range?
Thanks

Re: Where do you get good quality H4 connectors?
Can I add to this by saying I always add a relay into a headlight upgrade.
Well worth the extra work in my opinion.
Have also found products from VWP, AES or CBS to be good quality.

Re: Hillman 1390cc Engine
Hello Tomcat Same engine I have in my Minx. Firstly, as with any engine, one needs to make sure one is getting the best from what they have whether this is as simple as a tune up, making sure you are getting full throttle etc etc to a de-coke. Other than that I seem to recall seeing one of those en...
