I love reading this blog and seeing your progress, im an Essex boy (living in bristol) myself so hope to see the car at a show (next year?) next month at the rate youre going!

Hi although not a vitesse i recently overhauled the twin su's on my spit 1500 so very similar, I would say the current state of your carbs and the extent of your ability would dictate what was the best course of action. You can get ALL parts you need individually or as a service kit and what I found...

Some good ideas especially spare fan belt! why are the obvious things things so ... obvious when someone says it! latex gloves are also a great idea I keep my overalls in the boot all purpose really, warm if you break down in the cold weather, keep you clean if you need to do a repair in your good c...

Hi all today was a special day, after MUCH 'playing' with my spitfire 1500 I bought 6 months ago I finally got her mechanically good enough and reliable to drive the 10 miles to work for the first time wooohooo!
