Re: BRAVE or just FOOLISH RM RESTO

Noticed from your picture you are using the original jack. A word of warning - they are prone to sudden catastrophic failure. They seem to break or separate in the tube and cannot be repaired. I put mine in the boot working and on lifting it out it had broken! On investigation sudden failure is very...

Re: Car SOS

I enjoyed the programme. Much better than all this reality crap and soaps on TV. Yeah they were not perfect and no doubt many would do something's differently but it's TV and it has to appeal to more than us grease monkeys. And they did show that they are human and can cock it up like us too. But al...

Re: Mini Luggage

I do have photo's of it. It was registered YSF 471. It was unfortunately rolled and written of by my brother about 1970 when it had done about thousand miles. We stripped the wreck and used some of the parts on other minis we both owned. CGM 33B DSN 237k - my first new car. AYS 479K - clubman estate...

Re: Mini Luggage

Found the missing case - phew!
Tried to post a pic but for some reason the site would not let me.
I suppose that is the first time they have all been together for 50 years.

Re: Mini Luggage

Thanks Martin.
Guess it must be a short run thing.
Must find that suitcase, just hope it was not accidentally thrown away. Other items safe.

Re: Mini Luggage

Thank you Martin. From my memories there was another small suitcase as well. Mum used them for odds and ends in the house and I think the missing case locks failed and it was thrown out. The shopping bags got heavy use and one bit the dust, the other is a bit rough but ok. The surviving small suitca...

Mini Luggage

My late mum bought a red Morris mini in 1961. It came with luggage to match the seats (red with grey cream patterned facings). They are patterned in the same grey cream style. On clearing out mum's I came across some of these. 2 long narrow cases for under the rear seat lip 1 vanity case 1 small sui...

Re: BRAVE or just FOOLISH RM RESTO

Coming along well but always remember at the end of the day - your friends would rather have to jump start the car than you!
Remember to smell the roses.
Been there and remember the car will not get finished if you are.
