Re: 77 TR7
Thanks, I'm pretty pleased with it. These later cars have a deserved reputation for lunching their engines but the previous owner of this car was savvy enough to have a Porsche maintenance contract on it. 8,000 miles ago the intermediate shaft bearing failed smashing the engine up and Porsche were f...

Re: 77 TR7
Here is the new motor finally. I decided to go against a E-Type, Stag, Capri or RS2000.
In fact you can argue its not a classic at all but my little lads love it and that's all that counts

Re: Practical Classics restoration show, who's going?
Proper 70's car in a 70's colour :D Maybe not a bad thing its been withdrawn from auction as if its as nice as it looks I would have to have it! Would anyone know why its been pulled and what has happened to it? It looks like exactly what I'm after and I'm very interested if its still for sale.........

Re: 77 TR7
Very happy with the price I got for it, in fact I made a bob or two ;) I was planning on buying a 2+2 E type as I want something I can get my lads involved with as well but I've decided to go for something more mainstream and practical so I've narrowed it down to either a 3 litre or early 4 speed 2....

Mini ringers
Am I the only one getting sick of seeing Mk1 and Mk2 Minis for sale on a well known auction site that are clearly ringers? The amount of cars claimed to be "re shelled" that have had little more than the reg plates and VIN tags swapped over is alarming. Its common to see a sixties Mini with internal...
