Re: Saab 9-3 Convertible Buyers Guide
Hi, and yes as the successful seller I can probably help with some points to watch out for although I cannot say if there is a buyers guide. For the mark 1 (the same shape as the earlier 900) Things to watch out for are - Rust: there should be none anywhere and if there is walk away. These cars were...

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Had the privilege to be shown an almost immaculate Jaguar Mark V11 over the New Year, location needs to stay a secret but the car from the early 50s had only done just over 20K and was original and rust free. The owner is looking to sympathetically re-commission it and I hope to see it on the road s...

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Saturday 25th coming from Torbay and up the M5, a blue Porsche 911 possibly 70s vintage and being shadowed by a much newer and wider one, probably in convoy after purchase. The blue car was being driven by someone who looked remarkably like Neil Campbell. Sorry no photos as I was driving at the time...

Re: European road trip
I too would have recommended a triumph 2000 or 2500. These were more economic than the rover P6 (in my experience on a long trip 4 up many years ago) or more practical but also more recent would be a Saab 900/93, especially a convertible. I have done 2 European trips with my 93 and would recommend i...

So have you moved and set up your business yet? If so whereabouts? - The Devon Cornwall border is quite long you know.

Re: What Car did you Pass up and Always Regret
My regret - for a 1st car I could have bought a late 60s Bond Equipe coupe in red. Took it for a test drive and the whole car wobbled at around 60mph. Now I would know that was just a wheel that needed balancing, back then it was enough to put me off buying the car. The price? just £250 quid....

Torbay Old wheels Riviera classic car show
I can't believe it's almost a year since the last one but here we are a again letting you all know that Torbay Old Wheels Club (any model or make, some not that old, and some that have been drawing their pension for some time - Oh and the cars come in all shapes and sizes too!) will be hosting the R...

I agree, be truthful, sometimes the manager says you can keep them for nothing anyway and your conscience is clear, even if you have to pay for them your honesty will be appreciated.

Re: House move then new business venture South West
Best of luck, there are a few classic car clubs around here (I'm in Torbay) the Crash Box is a big club and I am with Torbay Old Wheels. Could be worth letting these clubs know what you are about as there may be work through that too.

Re: Vehicle security, GPS trackers.. Any other security tips
I recently bought a Chip N Trac device from RBS Ltd (stan@rbslimited.fsnet.co.uk). These come with some security stickers (leave a mark that cannot be removed even if the label is removed) a transponder chip (this contains a unique number that the police can trace with their equipment and you can pr...
