Re: 1995 Jeep Cherokee 4L
I suppose quite a few diesel engines could fit. Strangely enough, the 2.5 TD engine in the Jeep, was also used by Rover, in their 800. Probably the most annoying thing on mine, was having 3/4's of a tank of fuel and watching it go to zero and the fuel light come on, everytime I went around a corner....

Re: 1995 Jeep Cherokee 4L
Our '94 Cherokee was a great thing. Luggage space was a bit compromised by the spare in the boot and it was hideous on fuel (4.0l - 10-15 mpg) but in the snow and taking it off road, it was epic. Hmm, bit of artistic licence with the not rusting
Mine has a few scabs, but he had it regularly waxoled and the inner arches and underneath were treated at Mazda on a regular basis. It's just the usual suspects. Sunroof, spoiler mounts and bottom of the arches. luckily it's all cosmetic.

Re: Hi - what car do you recommend?
How about an SE4 Scimitar,or an early SE5 ? Should be able to pick up a really nice one for 7K and the mechanicals are pretty easy to come by and of course the body won't rot! SE4 is my favoured choice.Great looking car ;) http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss36/dazmaxton/fs_190_reliant_scimitar_se4...
