Re: Roadworthiness testing for vehicles of historic interest

Noticed the bit about "Substantially altered" Why do I get the feeling that we will then see a permit system for trotting out classics for special occasions only, and a yearly mileage limit. OK I may not use a classic every day, but I'm of the opinion that if it's not capable of being a daily driver...

Re: Series 3 Landie FFR

Check the lip of the filler neck is 100% flat and true. On mine, the brass seems a little more flexible than it should be and needed bending back so it sealed against the cap properly. Re: Princess, 414, Corsa, 6TL, etc. - 05/06 Bath time!

Reminds me of the sort of student transport I used to see parked up outside halls of residence when I was a student. Legal but not concourse by any means. I remember one Mk3 cortina with the wing rusted through in the normal place on the top "Repaired" with a disembowelled large Fosters tin artfully...

Re: What new car suggestions... not easy!

Thank you for the advice on the T4, I to have been looking at them but couldn't cope with anything too asthmatic on the steep stuff, especially when wanting to keep up with traffic. I will rule them out of my list... Thanks! Later diesel T4s had bigger engines - a 2.4 then 2.5 litre which presumabl...
