Re: An Rover. Vitesse.
You've gotta weigh up what you can do with the car. If you start digging deeper it will probably be worse than it looked at first. One of my subframe mounts has partly collapsed on my Dolomite. The car's a keeper so I'll get it repaired properly. My welding is like the aforementioned pigeon excremen...

Re: Kadett D restoration and video
Just read your thread on the forum and I watched your YouTube video on the wiper spindle replacement. The cars are basically the same as the Mk1 Astra.

John, there's one relay for the dipped beams and one for the high beams. The lighting arrangement is exactly the same as you can see in the before and after photos. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n227/ToledoMan/Project%20Brown/Headlight%20relay%20installation/2014-08-21-684_zps3b6a050b.jpg http:...

Do you qualify for the disabled taxation class? One of my Acclaims was on disabled taxation class when I bought it so I had to change it to PLG when I was able to tax it.

Re: Today I have been ?????????????? to my classic
I've just fitted a relay to the dipped headlights on my Dolomite. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n227/ToledoMan/Project%20Brown/Headlight%20relay%20installation/2014-08-19-680_zps433ba384.jpg It is situated next to the battery to keep the cable runs as short as possible. Unfortunately, one of my...

Re: Behind the scenes with PC magazine
A shame Neil didn't swing by my place to drool over my Dolomite (I know he's a sucker for Canley iron). I've also discovered a Stag round the corner from where I live. It would've made Neil's day complete. I would've loved to have got involved as I'm Bradford born like these cars.

There's another expression that's appropriate to the OP: "You can take the boy out of Yorkshire but you can't take the Yorkshire out of the boy".

Re: 1952 Jowett Javelin
Looking good Chris. I hope to see it at the Bradford Classic this year. I'll be with the Triumph Dolomite Club but Steve W. (all the Jowett lot know him) won't be able to make it because he's got family coming over from the USA. The first time I went to the Bradford Classic (it was the first one) Ti...

Re: A Landy is reborn
You're missing the PlusGas. I swear by the stuff. A close second is Double T. As for WD40, it is good at dispersing water (which is what it was originally formualted for). Sorry to hear about your dog. I lost my dog 9 years ago so I feel your pain. I never thought I'd have another but I ended up wit...
