Phil was back in the workshop on the latest episode (E Type).

BUDGET

Good news for classic car owners in this year's Budget - from 1 April 2016 a vehicle made before 1 January, 1976, will be exempt from paying road tax (VED).
So, if any of us have Pre 76 classic's, you can now apply for Historic status from Next April. :D

Re: My 1977 MG BGT fresh out of Hibernation!.

Well UKH achieved a good MOT pass, and was then sent to the valeter's.
Suffice to say he is looking good and ready for a new home.

I have listed him on here in the "for sale" section with numerous pictures and a link to more.

Maybe, it would be nice, but would like it to find a good home too, not just some dealer looking to make a fast profit.

This is how he looked on my first outing with him to Harrogate MG Show Pately bridge.

My 1977 MG BGT fresh out of Hibernation!.

Well, the time has come to pull my old BGT out of storage and prepare him for Sale. I've not driven him in over 6 years, and it seems a waste just to leave it in there any longer. 1977 MG BGT in Flamenco red and with a mere 103k miles. Time to clean up, service and see if he will MOT. Pics below of ...

Re: Trying to track down a Midget GRP 858T

No MOT since June 2012 / No Tax since July 13. Considering that this is not a particularly long time in classic car terms to be off the road, there's a good chance it's still around.(details below) Well worth contacting the MG Car Club, MG Owners Club, and of course the "Spridget" register" http://m...

Re: jase's little red garage find midget

A series lump known for "sticking" in the bores after long hibernation. Before turning over under power, pour some "hot oil" down the bores via the plug holes, and after five mins turn over by hand. Not only will it un-gum the rings it will clean the bores and help loosen any sludgey deposits in the...

I suppose it depends on what things you may be looking for?

if you can be a bit more specific, I'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction?

Re: Fuel at under a £1 per litre possible

I have reached max discount on my tesco saving thing. I plan to use it on the 31st Jan (day it runs out) to fill my defender (80ltr tank)

I hope to be paying as close to 80p per ltr as I can! :)
