Accelerator Pump
Hi,
The accelerator pump on a Solex PSEI carb of a Super Minx isn't working. I have changed the diaphragm & spring and blown through with an air line to ensure no blockages from pump to swan necked jet.
Any other ideas where the problem might be?
Cheers

Superminx Lost Keys
We've misplaced the keys to a Hillman Superminx. I don't want to replace all the locks/barrels etc. so wondered if anyone had any bright ideas on how to identify and repalce the keys.
Here's hoping!!

One for the Auto-electricians
We're building a Porsche Speedster kit car and to save cost we are just using things we have lying around, so we have ended up with a VW Beetle switch and a twin speed wiper motor from a MGB. I can wire it up so we get both speeds but have done a fair bit of head scratching and fuse blowing to try a...

Daimler Dart - SP250 Fluids & Wiring
Hi all,
Could someone please confirm the recommended oils for Gearbox & Diff.
Also I'm trying to track down a wiring diagram, does anyone know if it's on the web anywhere or could someone email me a copy?
Cheers

Re: Ginetta G15/Imp Engine Problem
The leak test was done by setting No.3 Piston to TDC, attaching airline (via adaptor) into spark plug hole. No leaks from exhaust or through carbs, but air could be felt through the oil filler neck.

Ginetta G15/Imp Engine Problem
We have a Imp engined Ginetta G15 which we're putting together from boxes of bits from an unfinished project. The engine was said to be fully reconditioned so we didn't expect any real issues, but after much other work the engine definitely has a misfire. We knew we had a good spark at all 4 plugs, ...

Re: Acid Dipping Herald 13/60 Engine
Hi Wicksy, I think acid dipping is still pretty common amongst engine re-conditioners, albeit they're thin on the ground here in North Devon. Happy with either process if it gives the same result, that being the cleaning of all the water galleries etc. that conventional cleaning just can't get to. D...
